Closing the Design-to-Code Gap with Coded Prototypes

C

The gap between a Figma file and a shipped product is where most design work dies. Not because engineers are careless, but because static mockups can’t communicate interaction timing, edge cases, or responsive behavior with enough fidelity.

I’ve started coding my own prototypes for complex interactions — not because I don’t trust engineers, but because experiencing the interaction in a real browser reveals problems that no amount of annotation can surface.
